Paediatric First Aid level 3 Blended course
This is for students doing the Blended Paediatric course.
The Blended course is very popular according to our feedback , because you do the online part in your own time and at your own pace , and then only spend one day with the instructor, so reduces the time spent in face to face training , making it safer from covid-19 position and also reducing time away from work or home.
The student MUST complete the online training BEFORE attending the practical element.
The online part consists of watching videos and a compulsory test at the end. You do this in your own time and at your own pace. The videos can be rewound or fast forwarded , and will return to the last video watched, each time you log on, so do not have to be done all in one go. This counts as the theory part of the course.
The practical day is basically the practical "hands on" part of the course.
The two parts together then become the level 3 qualification , which is then recognised by OFSTED etc..
To do this Blended course , you need to decide which is the best date for you to attend the practical element, then email or ring us to book on, then we can send you a link to get onto the "online part." You can also book on using the yellow widgets on our course dates page as well.
We only invoice you for the practical element. However you pay separately online, for the online part when you first log on.
Our level 3 courses are available in Sheffield, South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire and Nationwide for groups and businesses.
The course is designed to train staff and individuals who need to meet the requirements set out in the First Aid at Work regulations (1981) and is recognised by OFSTED.
It is basically an alternative to the old style 12 hour Paediatric First Aid qualification that was completed over 2 days. It is the same qualification, just a different method of delivery.
This is a ProTrainings Qualification, This qualification is delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the new guidelines set out by the HSE in October 2015 and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981.
This course is delivered using a variety of teaching methods which include videos, , Powerpoint presentations and discussions as well as hands on practice.
This ensures that candidates enjoy their course and helps them to retain information so that when they have completed the course they are competent and confident to deal with an emergency situation should it arise.
We want all learning to be inclusive, so if candidates need any additional assistance or requirements to aid learning, then let us know so we can make any appropriate adjustments to the course.
